Traditional Ship Building demo
The Lewes Historical Society will host its Traditional Ship Building Program & Demonstration on Monday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lewes History Museum, Margaret H. Rollins Community Center, 101 Adams Ave, Lewes. The event features a live demonstration of the techniques used to make a ship’s spar, using period tools and techniques. Younger visitors can work alongside museum staff to build and paint their own miniature wooden vessels. The cost is $5 per person, with pre-registration encouraged for visitors who have children interested in painting vessels.
